The silence

poem by: Steven Godfrey
Written on Oct 24, 2016

The silence is deafening , echo's in my head
Lying here ,looking up staring into space
Tearful thoughts of loved ones past
Time heals us all, but memories are vast

I thought of you yesterday , tears fell
I'll think of you tomorrow ,same outcome I can tell
It's a lonely place being a prisoner in your own mind just do your best, be a friend , supportive and kind

In the hope that one day , things will turn out for the best
To lead a life ,break the silence ,god shall decide the rest
If you hear my wordless shout , reach out and catch my fall
For you may be the only one to hear my silent call.
