In and out

poem by: Emily Armstrong
Written on Sep 19, 2016

In and out
in and out
Day by day and
Week by week
in a trance
A daze
Our minds
Stuck
In the inevitable cycle
Of life
Like the earth
Spinning
Alway turning
Around and around
Constant motion
Our bodies moving
Walking
Running
Spinning
Around and around
Our minds
In autopilot
Like a ghost
In the hall
Unseen
Unheard
In constant motion
Living life as a lie
Walking
Running
Spinning
Lying
Still
Cold stone bodies
Still
