Words

poem by: Ursula Payano
Written on Sep 18, 2016

Words each rhyme,
Another tongue tied.
Lyrics that spit a different light.
I wonder what made news today.
Oh boy don't tell me it starts with K again.
I can't believe my eyes,
You, a leader? one I never follow,
Your message like venom.
Wow, check him out,
Profanities and lots of blah, blah, blah.
Good examples were meant to be follow,
Yet trash will always belong in the trash.
Religions speak in freedom,
And of rights no wrong or right.
Okay I'm terrorized, revenge is not fly.
Butterflies are so pretty and rainbows are so bright.
Only tolerance in communication applies.
Discrimination shouldn't exist,
Neither be in black nor white.
Authorities we must respect,
And humans should be treated as one.
For two wrongs have never been right.
Acceptance as humans,
True Love is a dream that is colorless and blind.
