The key to freedom.

poem by: Christopher Russon

The prison door opens wide
I cannot believe my eyes
I am free to go they say
At last I have served my time.

I can leave this cell at last
I am a man now free
Walking that straight path
Back into society.

I was locked Behind these prison bars
For crimes of distant past
Now walking away from concrete
And steel.please tell me this will last.

The future it awaits for me
Something happened when inside
I am not the man I used to be
Now love and peace reside.
