My Rosie

poem by: Christopher Russon
Written on Sep 03, 2016

My Rosie picks me up
When I am feeling down
I am at my merriest
When Rosie is around.

I always laugh, never sigh
My Rosie is a lullaby.

Rosie is my greatest friend
When day turns into to night
And I never feel lonely
When my Rosie is in sight.

And all those stars that softly glow
They fade away when Rosie goes.

But Rosie is never gone for long
When she returns she comes on strong.
And now for me my glass in hand
Where Rosie there is looking grand.
