Siren

poem by: Siren Song
Written on Aug 29, 2016

Did no one ever stop to think
That Siren, with her killing call
Would never willing wish to sink
The men who for her fancy fall

For beauty isn't invitation;
the fault's not in a Siren's sighs
To sing is not to seek flirtation
Ego, not woman, was man's demise

Amazing how these archetypal classical stories still have power even when the theme is turned on its head, You have given it a clever and effective twist.
