Manic Relief

Written on Jul 20, 2016

Feelings of relaxation, are all across my being,
Peacefulness at last, my thoughts are all agreeing.
Been waiting so long, for this all to come together,
So much time has passed, riding out the stormy weather.
Where do I go from here? Only time will tell,
Time to live in this moment, and absorb feeling well.
Rain is coming down outside, been hearing it for a while,
But it matters not to me, no longer walking the green mile.
Every ounce of my being, so relaxed and wrapped in peace,
Agitation is suspended, as the depression starts to cease.
Beautiful thoughts invade my mind, and permeate my heart,
My identity has returned again, to ignite a brand new start.
One thing in life is surely true, that money cannot buy,
The ability to feel good inside, producing a natural high.
Weight is not even an issue, let gravity do what it must,
Even the most precious metals, are subject to forming rust.
Whether we like it or not, we are all one and the same,
Subject to decay over time, regardless of fortune or fame.
We are all capable of doing good things, evil is possible too,
Meaning you are the same as me, and I am no different than you.
Choices in life do separate, the results we do achieve,
The reasons where we do end up, to celebrate or to grieve.
So let the rain continue to fall, and clouds to fill the sky,
And I will try to reflect from within, the grace in my mind’s eye.
