A HIDDEN PATH?

Like a wayward soul abandoned,
to fend for herself and child,
people today can’t find their way
on the path that’s called “exiled.”

To think that man has answers
for a mystery as old as time,
is like trying to find an answer
for the chicken and egg in rhyme.

Yet, we go on living
in chaos like never before.
Still searching for the answer …
behind some hidden door.

Questions that beg echoes of trust
may hardly ever be found,
through open doors, tucked in drawers,
or scribbled down in verb and noun.

Answers hidden like whispered treasure,
riches wrest, unwilling from ground.
By shrunken souls lost in the tinge of time,
in a hope that doesn’t look around.

While, each day world confusion chokes
             man’s efforts to rule.
      But, doesn’t anyone discern
    religions embarking at low tide?
          Or, perceive that God’s Kingdom‘s,
             when mentioned, faces ridicule?

[Jesus foretold, that true Christians would be few
in number, and hated and persecuted.]

(Matt. 7: 13,14 “Go in through the narrow gate, because broad is the gate and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are finding it.
Matt. 24:9 “People will hand you over to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name.”

Yes! It is true, if you are a Christian, people will eventually do, much more than make fun of you! Already in Muslim countries, Christians, Jews, and even Muslims too--are being executed for their faith!
Christopher Russon commented:
Lovely poem. It would be nice to see piece on earth one day.
