Have I Made a Difference? Coming to grips with the realities of life’s ambitions Is there a rule to have to make decisions? Is life a quest to make a difference Is it how to justify our existence? Or is life just an illusion to fill a space Traded for by parent’s desire to have another face, A face that like theirs is a chance for nurture At the least a personal mark on the future Or is it a need to prolong something we did not start, But now value the chance we have and appreciate heart Discovering a purpose depends on dirt and air, Geographics plays a part, all a lottery of where So for mine a ticket with a prize A seat up front Australia wise, Little did I know the luck at the start I had been given a chance to play a part An option to take or give To affect the way I live, To question attitudes of self trust Learning to embrace my truth a must So the million dollar question to ask As maturity is coming to an end, Did I make a difference Was my world a friend?
