A very interesting poem describing changes in life from day to day. Sometimes I feel "lost at sea" but then i glimpse the shore and all is well. Thanks for sharing - JOHN

Thank you John.this poem is based on a true story about a man who had fear of the sea.
He thought he could overcome that fear by sailing it.he was wrong.

Wow, before I scrolled down and read your basis for the poem, I was going to ask if the 'fear' was yours. Very vivid.

Very good poem Christopher. Nothing more beautiful and peaceful than the ocean (of course, i'm referring to viewing it while standing on solid ground on the shoreline.....hahaha)

Really enjoyed this piece. I actually read it as "shades". Great flow to the verses, choppy, just like the waves. It took a second read to get verse 6, but yeah, it all vocalizes a great picture.

Disasters are scenic with its lovely art and expression. But when you're in it; fear entangles you, plummets your hope to the core of the earth. Wonderful poem.
