What Society Thinks

poem by: Charde' Ridgeway
Written on May 02, 2016

You know what society thinks
It thinks that you have to be a particular size, and height to be accepted
Society judges you for flaws that make you
But do you know that society didn't make you
God do
Your flaws are what make you unique in every way
How you wear your hair on a sunny day
Or how you dress in the purest confidence
Clothed in no fear of what lays near
Not afraid to show the truth to the world unknown
Knocking at faiths door alone
If only you knew what society thinks
Its all about the highest ranks
But not about the realest side
At the end of the day ill be just fine

Thanks so much

It doesn't all rhyme but you obviously know that: most of it does and then you say whatever you want. It's got confidence. It's got a lyric! I think some might say it's got a broken rhythm... Yeh, it's good!
Charde' Ridgeway commented:
I know it doesn't have rhythm all the way and my writing is a broken rhythm because i like it that way. I write my poems based off what i have experienced or have seen happen before in my life. But thanks anyway for your feedback , i appreciate it.

Yes, we're pure energy - consciousness - not a beautifully dressed broomstick!

Nice, I can relate to this poem. God created us in all different shapes and sizes. We are fearfully and wonderful made!
