My soul

poem by: K Alexander
Written on Mar 14, 2016

When I had a child
It was then I knew
You could cut up your soul
And let it wander apart from you

Each day we spend together
Each night I tuck you into bed
Each story you listened to I read
Each bruise I kissed

I never liked kids till you
It's funny because neither do you
My little old man
I'm sorry it's just us two

A mother is strong
A son is a gift
I love you more
You love me most

Your precious and spoilt
Your kind and your sweet
Will try my best to raise you
To be the man you want to be

Poetry is sometimes so much of a personal venting, which is why I write. I can feel your poems deeply and enjoy them even if they bring me sadness. Good works, all of them.

Enjoy - until school and peers - regrettably life is not static - it's roaring in constant change - wishing you the very best.
