The world we live in
There's too much sin in
Everyone's too busy pretendin'
Fading shadows pass me by
Hollowed eyes hide hollow lies
When spoken word has turned absurd,
And, once gained trust has turned to dust,
It's time to join the Fading
The world we live in
There's too much sin in
Maybe I should start pretendin'
The shadows fall upon us all...
With broken heart, we're torn apart
It's time to join the Fading
Now, when shadows pass me by,
They see into my hollowed eyes
I speak a word, it turns absurd
It's time I join the Fading
These shadows, they seem so...very far away
But, keep getting closer...every single day
There's not enough light to take them out of the grey
The light that's needed is always eight minutes away
We sacrifice trust to settle like dust
Cog in the wheel has turned us to rust
We are always Fading
The world we live in
There's too much sin in
Now, I'm too busy pretendin'
One day we will fade away
So, what's the point in being grey?
Besides the constant Fading?
Upon us all, the shadows fall...
Trust someone, or none at all
It's time to join the Fading
With hollowed eyes as my disguise
Open mouth, out come lies...
The world I trust, I now disgust
Now, I am the Fading
