Broken By Love

Cut me into pieces, throw me away,
Had your fun, now I’m just prey.
You never cared, never loved,
I would’ve given my life for you, my dove.

I’m lost, adrift, all efforts in vain,
A flash, a heartbeat, swallowed in pain.
Everything I built, crumbled to ash,
So much given, you never asked.

Wishing to fade, to disappear,
This pain, relentless, too severe.
A family man, dreams undone,
Ruined by betrayal, now overrun.

How do I stay where I'm not needed?
Every part of me, torn and pleaded.
I lifted you, held you so high,
But to you, I’m nothing, just goodbye.

Goodbye to hope, goodbye to fight,
Broken by love, consumed by night.
