Friday on my mind...

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Nov 05, 2021

"I'm sittin' all alone ...again just thinkin' of you...
patiently waitin' for Friday...to do things that we like to do..
With the turntable slowly turnin'...playin' music on your sister Ann's old Dansette...
so cosy by the two bar electric fire...my problems you help me forget..
We've waited all week...nearly five long days apart....
at last it's now Friday...our weekend's about to start!...
My heart beats faster, and faster...as I finally see you arrive...
now that it's Friday...with you Mary, my life happily comes alive!"
