Eve's Evolving

In these bloody hands
a severed bleeding head.
In this head
cold, dripping fangs.
In these fangs
pure transparent poison.
In this poison
slow, certain death.

Death in this heavenly garden?

In this gorgeous garden
luscious trees.
On these fruitful trees
camouflaged, handsome: serpents.
In these subtle serpents
formless wisdom.
In this wisdom
seductive gnostic.
In this gnostic
crafty cunning.
In this cunning
fearless power.

Power in my bloody hands: Adam!

Geoffrey Brewer commented:
Powerful words and images, but what have you got against knowledge and freedom of choice? Or have I misunderstood your poem?
Nicho Mose commented:
Not a thing. I'm like "Eve". Just having fun with the power of a woman...when she finally realises it. Much thanks!
Ja Ja commented:
Power and death. Quite the garden for an innocent lass to be.
Nicho Mose commented:
True ...yet death is just the exit door we must all go through.

Thought provoking poem Nicho.....is death really the exit door?....or is it the entrance...to who knows where?................just a thought........
