THE NIGHT OF THE DEAD
Chapter 1
“Vicky, hon, are you still upset with me?
Vicky Huston let those words hang between them for a few minutes. Before she answered her dad back
“I just can’t believe that you went and did this without telling me first” She pouted while staring out the car window
“Did I ever tell you that you look very mature when you get angry? Her father answered her with a big smile on his face. Vicky turned and just gave him the
Oh, you’re so-so not funny look
“Sorry, but seriously I thought you liked Aunt Sally, and your cousin Crystal” He added
“I do like Aunt Sally, but Crystal, well she’s—Vicky paused
“She’s what? Her dad asked
Weird
Vicky’s dad couldn’t help but laugh
“Weird huh?
“Yah, she always has this look that gives me the creeps” Vicky frowned
“What kind of look? I never noticed any look” Her dad shrugged
“The one in where she can’t make up her mind. Whether she wants to laugh or be disgusted by you” Vicky explained
“Oh! That look! Her dad laughed. Vicky was about to answer him when she abruptly cut off. As the car came to a jerking halt
“Gee dad! Great driving skills! She smirked. Ignoring her smart comment Vicky’s dad just pointed out the window and cried
“There it is!”
Vicky grabbed onto the dashboard and stared at the old house. That had a strange ghostly look to it
Taking a deep breath she thought to herself
“Oh great! I’m moving into Freddy’s Cougars swamp house”
Vicky’s dad parked the car into the drive way and blew the horn. His sister Sally came running out of front door with a big smile on her face. Then after giving them a big welcoming hug, she asked Vicky
“So what do you think?”
Vicky looked around for a second then shrugged her shoulders
“I know” Her aunt added noticing Vicky’s uncertain stare
“It still needs a lot of work but it has a homey feel to it”
“Yah, if you’re Steven King, Vicky whispered to herself. Her dad turned around and gave her a don’t you start look
She glanced up and noticed that her cousin Crystal, was walking over towards them
“Hey V, how’s it going?
“It’s going” Vicky shrugged
“Crystal, why don’t you show Vicky, her new room” Her aunt smiled. “If you don’t like it there are plenty others to choice from” She added
“I’m sure it’ll be fine, Aunt Sally, Vicky mumbled. Crystal gave her a small wink then led her inside the house
“Half the lights don’t work it’s one of the little annoying problems, you’ll have to get use to” Crystal explained as they walked upstairs
“One of them? How many are they? Vicky frowned
“How does having only one bathroom strike you? Crystal smiled
“You’re kidding right? Vicky groaned
“I wish it’s at the end of the hall” Crystal answered her. Vicky popped her head into one of the rooms and asked
“Is this one mines?
“No, yours is near the back hall” Crystal told her
“Why?
“No reason I just thought that you’d like this way” Crystal shrugged
“Oh, it’s cold in here” Vicky said wrapping her arms around her chest
“Yah, it’s a drift all old houses have them. Well I let you start unpacking I’ll see you later. Crystal answered her before she left Vicky’s room
“Home sweet home” Vicky sighed as she started to put her stuff away. She was getting ready to go to bed when something blocked the light. That was coming out of the hallway. Vicky quickly turned around to find Crystal standing right behind her
“Don’t you ever do that again? She snapped
“Sorry I thought you heard me come in” Crystal shrugged
“Of course not! I didn’t what are you part ghost? “What did you want any way besides giving me a heart attack? Vicky smirked
“I thought you’d like a snack before going to bed” Crystal answered her. Vicky was about to answer back when the phone interrupted
“Hello?
“Trick or treat! Look outside! A deep voice whispered. Vicky dropped the phone and ran over towards the window. She screamed when she saw what looked like a man hanging from the back yard tree
“What’s the matter? Crystal cried as she joined her by the window. Vicky just pointed to the window. Crystal pressed her face against the glass and asked
“The scarecrow is that what scared you?
“Scarecrow? Vicky frowned
“Yah, the one that was by the woodshed. Someone went through a lot of trouble just to play a joke” Crystal answered her
“Who was on the phone? She added
“I don’t know a man I think” Vicky shrugged. “He told me to look out the window after he said trick or treat”
“Trick or treat? Crystal smirked
“Yes Crystal, trick or treat! Vicky cried out
“Okay, don’t worry I’ll get rid of it in the morning. And if the phone rings let the machine get it, come on let’s get some sleep.” We’ve a big day tomorrow” Crystal said before she left Vicky’s room
“How can she be so calm all the time” Vicky frowned. As she climbed into her bad
Chapter 2
Putting on her jeans and a sweatshirt Vicky followed the smell of bacon towards the kitchen
“Good morning! Vicky’s aunt smiled before placing the toast inside the toaster
“Did you sleep well?
“Umm yes” Vicky answered her then peeked out the window to the backyard
“Good, well breakfast is almost ready can you please let Crystal know. She’s out in the backyard” Sally asked her
“Sure,” Vicky walked out the screen door
“Thanks, for not saying anything about last night’ Vicky told Crystal
“No problem, I really didn’t want to hear my mom freaking out this morning” Crystal laughed
“And speaking of your mom, she told me to get you breakfast is ready” Vicky stated
The moving van arrived shortly after three. And for the rest of the afternoon Vicky was too busy carrying and unpacking boxes. To worry about anything
“So what’s the verdict? Crystal asked Vicky sitting on her bed
“Think you can stick around for a while?
“Do I’ve any other choice? Vicky sighed. Crystal was about to answer her when Vicky’s dad walked into her room
“Oh good, you’re both here” He said. “I’ve a bit of news I’d like to share with you both
Chapter 3
“You’re not taking this very well are you? Crystal asked Vicky. As she drove to school the next morning. Vicky leaned her head back against the front seat. And closed her eyes
“I can’t believe it just a few days here and they’ve to go away to settle your dad’s affairs, she groaned
“Well don’t think of it that way try to think of it like they’re going away on vacation” Crystal smiled
“Going on vacation? Vicky frowned
“Yah, one from my mom’s bad cooking and your dad’s corny jokes! Crystal laughed. Vicky stared at her for a moment then started laughing with her
“Are you sure you don’t want me to go with you to the main office? Crystal asked her
“No, thanks I’ll be fine
“Okay, then I’ll meet you back here after school. Good luck! Crystal cried out. Vicky took a deep breath before walking into a brick building. She walked down a wide noisy hall towards the main office. And after her first class Vicky wished that her first day of
school was her last. She was so depressed that she didn’t see that there was a young girl leaning against the locker next to hers
“Hi I’m Kelly Cloud,” She said staring Vicky’s over loaded arms full of books
“Hi, I’m Vicky Huston”
“I know we’re in the same English class. I tried to get your attention but you were a million miles away” tough day huh? Kelly asked her
“The worst! Vicky cried out putting her books into her locker
“Have you met anyone else? Kelly added
“So far just you and my cousin who suddenly thinks that’s she’s my sister. Since I’m living with her” Vicky sighed
“Bummer who’s your cousin? Kelly asked
“Crystal Black”
“Crystal Black! Is your cousin? Kelly cried out
“Yah, you know her? Vicky asked. And before Kelly could answer her a boy who came out of nowhere joined them
“Hey Kiel! Who’s your new friend? He asked
“Bo, this Vicky Huston, she moved here and Vicky, this is my brother Bo, Kelly answered him
“Nice to meet you” They both answered
“And get this! Crystal’s Vicky’s cousin! Kelly laughed
“Oh wow! Just wait until Ted, finds out he’s going to flip out” Bo also laughed
“Who’s Ted? Vicky shyly asked
“The love of your cousin’s life! Bo continued laughing
“That’s weird; I didn’t even know that Crystal had a boyfriend. I wonder why she never mentioned him before.” Vicky frowned
“That’s because she doesn’t know that he’s even alive! So I see that you survived your first day” Bo smiled
“Hardly” Vicky mumbled
“Don’t worry it’ll get better just think your first day is over. And you’re not new anymore” Bo smiled
“Well I guess we’ll see you later, come on Kiel we don’t want to late” He added
“I’ll be there in a minute” Kelly answered “He’s right you know”
“That’s easy for you to say” Vicky mumbled
“I’m stuck in the middle of every class with tons to catch up with. Even our writing assignment sounds hard, she added. Kelly looked surprised
“You don’t know do you?
“Know what? Vicky frowned
“There was a murder inside your house, Kelly muttered
“Everyone knows that your house is evil, she added before walking off to meet Bo
Chapter 4
“Evil? Crystal glanced over towards Vicky as they drove home
“That’s what she said she also said that everyone knows” Vicky frowned
“Well not everyone” Crystal shrugged. “So did she tell you what happened in our happy home that makes it so evil?
“Someone was murdered” Vicky answered her
“Oh, but just cause someone died inside our house. I don’t see how that makes the place evil” Crystal frowned
“I don’t know Crystal; maybe whoever did it was evil. She didn’t say and I really don’t want to talk about this anymore Vicky frowned back
A few minutes later Vicky went to the kitchen to get some water. When she noticed from looking out the window that Crystal was walking into the woods
“I wonder where she’s going to.
Vicky walked out the kitchen door and headed towards the woods
“Hey Crystal, where you at? She yelled out as she walked in deeper
“Vicky? I’m over here! Check it out!
Vicky got a creepy feeling when she cut through the trees and saw the ghostly graveyard. She jumped a little when she felt a cold hand touch her shoulder
“Wow! The people who used lived in our house must’ve been pretty important. To have a whole cemetery for them, Crystal told her. She was about to touch one of the tomb stones when a cold breeze swept through her body
“Hey! Did you just feel that? She asked Vicky
“No, I didn’t and if you’re trying to scare me it’s not working! Let’s just turn around and go back and forget that we ever found this place okay? Vicky frowned
Once they went inside Vicky sunk herself in one of the chairs and sighed
“It’s just getting weirder”
“What is” Crystal asked
“Everything this house, school and now you! Vicky answered
“Me? What did I do? Crystal frowned
“I knew that you were always weird but what just happened out there? You looked like you were in a trance or something” Vicky smirked
“I’ve no idea what you’re blabbing about sorry” Crystal shrugged
“Of course you don’t how about ordering a pizza? It’ll be my treat” Vicky groaned
“I’ve a better idea a better idea let’s go out to eat! Crystal smiled before grabbing the car keys off the kitchen counter
Chapter 5
A few minutes later they were sitting at the local pizza hut sharing an extra-large cheese
“Hey maybe we should save a slice for the evil spirit who lives in our house! Crystal laughed. Vicky almost chocked on her pizza a friendly voice interrupted her respond
“Hey Bo, would you like to join us? Vicky shyly asked. And after talking for a while about school and other things. Crystal looked over to Bo and asked
“Can I ask you something?
“Sure what?
“Well your sister told Vicky, that someone was murder in our house. Do you know what she was talking about?
“You mean you guys really don’t know? Bo frowned
“No, that’s why I’m asking you about it” Crystal shrugged
“Okay, but not in here let’s go out to the football field. Where we can talk in private, Bo answered her
A few minutes later, they were sitting by the touch down pole
“Linda Hill and Kelly, were the best of friends, they’d spent all their time together. And since Linda’s parents were always off on their business trips” Kelly was the one who actually found her that night” Bo began explaining
“Oh my god!” Vicky cried out. Bo just nodded then continued
“And I don’t care what anyone says. But I know that bastard David is the one who did it!
“Whoa! Who’s David? And why would he want to kill Linda? Crystal frowned
“David Wilson, Linda’s ex-boyfriend he made her life miserable after they broke up” He’d call her at all hours of the night threatening that he’d pay her back----
“He sounds like a real prince charming” Crystal interrupted smirking
“But why didn’t she go to the police or tell her parents what was going on? Vicky added
“Cause she never took him seriously, she just thought it was a big joke” Bo shrugged
“Any way on the night of the Halloween dance. No one knows why Linda agreed to leave with him” Anyway when she didn’t return Kelly got worried. And went to her house to look for her, she really don’t remember what happened after that” I guess her brain blocked it out”
“The next day the police found David’s car by the river. Behind Linda’s house, there was a bloody knife underneath the front seat” the police called it a murder, suicide but the weird thing is they never did find his body” He answered
On the way home Crystal turned to Vicky and asked
“Do you really believe that David killed Linda?
“Of course, he did! He was crazy! And you’re crazy if you think that I’m going to spend one more night in that room! Vicky cried out
“You don’t have to I’ll switch rooms with you” Crystal answered her
“You will?
“Yes Vicky, I know that you think I’m weird. But even us weirdoes’ have our moments of kindness” Crystal smiled
Chapter 6
Later that night Vicky was packing some of her stuff. When the phone rang
“Hello?
“Hello Linda,” The voice whispered
“Huh? Sorry but you’ve the wrong number” Vicky mumbled
“Trick or treat! And this time you stay dead! The voice yelled. Before slamming the phone in Vicky’s ear
“Who was on the phone? Crystal asked. Once she walked into the room
“Don’t know but he called me Linda, and that this time I’ll stay dead” Vicky answered
“Wasn’t I suppose to answer the phone from now on,” Crystal told her
“Maybe it was Bo, trying to freak you out? She added
“You’re not funny Crystal; everything’s not always a big joke! Has it ever occurred to you that something bad could probably happen? Vicky frowned
“No, but if does I’m sure that you’ll be the first to let me know about it” Crystal smirked. Vicky just gave her a dirty look before she walked out of the room
The next afternoon Vicky walked into Crystal’s room and announced
“I’m never going back to school again!
Crystal just lowered the corner of the newspaper. And raised her eyebrow
“I’m serious Crystal, I’m never going back!
“And the reason you’re not is what again? Crystal frowned
“Oh, you mean besides living in a house in where a girl was murdered. By her deranged ex-boyfriend! Now I just found out by Kelly that I could’ve been her twin! “No wonder everyone keeps staring at me funny! Vicky cried out
“Are you done with the poor me pity party? Crystal asked smiling. “First of all you don’t even know if David was deranged enough to have killed her. Second they are staring at you funny cause, you always look like your puppy got ran over” And third just cause you might look like her doesn’t mean your life and what was hers will be the same” She added
“God I hate you! Vicky cried
Crystal only laughed
“And I, you!”
Vicky was about to walk out of the room when. Crystal jumped out of her bed and grabbed Vicky’s arm
“Wait! Did you know that there’s a secret passage way from your old closet to the living room?

“Listen I know that you hate everyone for making you live here. But I think it’s time that we’ve a serious talk about what’s really going on around here” Crystal told her. Vicky sat on her bed and sighed
“Kelly also told me that Bo, went out with Linda right after she broke up with David”
“I’m sure Bo, went out with half the girls in this town” Crystal smirked
Very funny!
“What? You started” Crystal shrugged
“Can we please just move on pass Bo,” Vicky begged
“Okay, Halloween is in a couple of days and just like last Halloween. We’ve gotten some weird phone calls and there’s a creepier feel inside this house then usually” Crystal began to explain
“Creepier feeling? Vicky frowned
“Yah, like it’s trying to let out a big secret. Who knows maybe this house is really haunted” Crystal shrugged
“What!” Vicky cried out
“Relax Vicky, it’s probably haunted but not by the kina of ghost. That people believe it is” Crystal answered her back frowning
Chapter 7
The next day Vicky and Kelly were talking by the school parking lot. When Crystal and Ted Cole walked up to them
“Hey guys, what are you up to? Ted asked
“Nothing much I was just about to ask Vicky, if we could go to her house?” Kelly shrugged. They all just stared at her with surprised looks on their faces
“What? Why are you all staring at me like that? Kelly frowned
“Kiel, if you feel funny—
“For the billion time it’s okay, so can we go now? Kelly interrupted smirking
An hour later, they were all sitting by the kitchen counter drinking hot chocolate
“So I heard that Bo, asked you to the Halloween dance” Kelly told Vicky
“Yay maybe you and your date can ride with us? Vicky smiled
“Oh, thanks but I’ve to be there early and help set up. Who are you going with Ted? Kelly answered
“Me! Crystal answered for him
“You? Since when? Vicky frowned
“Yah me, what’s wrong with that? Crystal frowned back. And before Vicky could answer her Kelly got up from her chair and stared out the screen door
“I hate having this blank spot in my mind I just wish that I could just remember”
“What are the changes of David still being alive?” Crystal asked her
“Alive?” Kelly stuttered
“They never did find his body right? So what if he’s out there somewhere crazy enough to try and kill her again” Crystal shrugged
“That’s pretty for fetch don’t you think? Ted frowned
“I’d know if he were he would’ve tried to reach out to me and find out what happened to her” He knew that I would’ve never believed that he killed her. And if I remember I could’ve helped him proved that he didn’t do it” Kelly sobbed
“Don’t get upset Kiel, we’ll help you figure this out” Vicky gently told her. “Now tomorrow night is the night of the Halloween dance. Let’s go back to last years can you tell us what you remember? She added
“That night Bo and Linda got into anther fight over David, I didn’t even know he was there. Since that year it was a masked ball”
“I didn’t even know what he was wearing until I saw them walking out towards the parking lot” Kelly began to explain
“And you just let her leave with him without telling us! Ted interrupted. Kelly nodded before continuing
“Cause she made me promise not to, she said that she’d be right back that. They were only going for a ride to talk things out” How would I know that would be the last time that I’d ever see her! Kelly cried out
“Oh nice going Ted, it’s okay Kiel, nobody’s blaming you what happened next” Vicky frowned. Kelly took a breath then continued
“It started to rain before we got to Linda’s house and all the way there. Bo kept yelling at me why I didn’t stop her”
“When we got there he jumped out of the car before I could even park” Ted added
“He started banging on the door yelling like a mad man for her to let him in. And when he got tired of waiting he picked up a rock and threw it through one of the windows” Kelly finished for him
“That’s when I ran upstairs walked into her room-“I can’t remember! I can’t remember! She began to scream
Chapter 8
The next night Crystal and Vicky were getting ready for the dance
“I still can’t believe that you’re going with Ted, Bo told me that you didn’t even know he was alive” Vicky laughed
“Well he’s kina cute maybe I was just waiting for the perfect moment for him to ask me out” Crystal shrugged. Vicky just stared at her with a strange look on her face
“I know, I know you think I’m weird! Crystal laughed
“Do you really think that Kelly couldn’t remember? Vicky asked Crystal
“For the billion time I don’t know you saw how freaked out she got. I didn’t think pushing her to remember was going to help her any” She answered her
“But tonight is Halloween! What if David’s still alive hiding someplace and comes after me. Thinking that I’m Linda! Vicky cried out
“Oh please Vic, give me a serious break he’s not Michael Myers” Crystal smirked.” Besides have you gotten any more weird phone calls? She added

“Then stop worrying about it and--. Now what? Crystal sighed noticing that Vicky was giving her another strange look
“I knew it! Vicky yelled at her
“Knew what? Crystal frowned
“I know the real reason you’re going tonight! Vicky smirked
“Great Nancy Drew, now if you excuse me I’ll wait for you downstairs” Crystal smirked back. And before she could walk out of the room Vicky blocked her way
“Oh no, you’re worried that something is going to happen. Admit it! Vicky cried. Crystal threw her arms in the air and cried back
“Okay, okay you’re right! Happy now?
A few minutes later, they were all trying to fit inside of Ted’s truck
“Howdy! Cow girl! Ted said with a big smile on his face
“Oh look Bo; don’t they look so cute together? Vicky grinned. Bo only laughed
Yulp!
Crystal just looked over at Vicky with a drop dead stared. Then asked Bo
“What are you supposed to be?
“Death” He answered back laughing. “So are you a good or a bad witch? He asked. Vicky winked over towards him and smiled
“You’ll just have to wait and find out” So is Kelly already here” She added
“Yes, serving all the ghosts and ghouls that walk through the door! Bo laughed as he held the door open for her
Chapter 9
Minutes later they were sitting at their table. Laughing and goofing with one another. When Kelly walked over to them
“Hey Kelly, grab a chair where’s your costume? Vicky asked her
“I didn’t have time to put one on. I was stuck here all day trying to get this place ready for the stupid dance” I can’t wait until Halloween is over” Kelly whined
“What’s wrong with her? Crystal asked after Kelly walked off
“Oh! who cares? Come on let’s hit the dance floor” Ted answered her. After hours of non-stop dancing and a much needed break. Vicky told Bo that she’d meet him back at their table
She was about to walk into the rest room when she bumped into Kelly
“Oh sorry Kiel, I didn’t see you standing there. What’s the matter? Vicky asked her
“It’s going to happen again I just saw him spying on us” Kelly mumbled
“You just saw who? Vicky frowned
David
The blood froze in Vicky’s veins as she asked
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I was fixing the candy tray when I looked up there he was just staring at me. And when he realized that I had seen him, he just disappeared into the coward” Kelly explained
“Okay we need to find the others and leave” Vicky answered her
“I can’t I think I’m going to be sick” Kelly mumbled
“Oh great! Vicky thought to herself. “Okay go to the restroom and put yourself together. And I’ll go find the others then we’ll meet you out side”
She found Crystal standing by the food table
“Whoa Vic, where’s the fire? Crystal yelled out to her
“Oh, my god! Crystal! We’ve to get out of here right now! Vicky cried out
“Leave? Why? Crystal frowned. Vicky was about to answer her when Ted and Bo walked up to them
“Hey we just saw Kelly running out of here like she just saw a ghost” Ted told them
“Shit! I told her to wait; now we really need to leave now—
“Vicky, calm down you’re talking to fast just calm down and tell us what’s going on? Bo frowned
“David! He didn’t die like everyone thought he did! He’s the one who has been cranking calling me! He thinks that I’m Linda and is going to try and kill me! Vicky cried out horrified. Bo just stared at her like she was crazy
“Can we please just go! Please! Vicky sighed
Chapter 10
A couple minutes later Vicky ran inside her house yelling for Kelly
“Okay, let’s split up Ted and I’ll check up stairs. And you guys check down here” Crystal told them. Minutes later Vicky grabbed Bo by the arm when she heard someone screaming upstairs
“I hope that was Crystal because the lights went off” Vicky told him
“Nah! That sounded more like Ted,” Bo laughed. Vicky was about to answer him back. When a wicked laugh came out of nowhere. Bo covered Vicky’s mouth before she could scream
“If you scream you’ll let him know where we are” He whispered into her ear
“Trick or treat Linda! I’m the one who really truly loved you!
“And you chose to just throw it all away!” The voice yelled out. Before he lite the living room curtains on fire
“Oh crap! He’s setting the house on fire! We’re going to die in here! Vicky cried out
“Snap out of it Vicky! No one’s going to die, just get down on the floor it’ll be easier to breathe”
“And follow me I know where there’s a secret passageway out of here” Bo told her
Chapter 11
Once they were inside the secret tunnel. Behind the book case Vicky turned to Bo and told him
“Bo, I’m so sorry
Sorry for what?
“For getting you into this” Vicky sobbed
“Hey, hey you sound like we’re not going to get out of here alive” Bo smiled
“No, and you don’t either” Vicky answered him
“Ha! You don’t know me very well do you? I hate to lose! Bo laughed
Then after brushing away her tears he added
“We’re going to get out this okay?
Vicky only nodded
“Okay then let’s keep moving” Bo smiled. And after what seemed like hours Bo suddenly stopped
What?
“Just trust me I think we’re inside the grave yard” Bo began
“So?” Vicky interrupted trying to look passes him
“No! Don’t look! Bo yelled. And before Vicky could ask him why. A dark masked figure sneaked up from behind
“Bo, watch out! Vicky yelled out. But it was too late the figure plunged the knife into Bo’s back. Then it looked straight into Vicky’s eyes and smirked
“You see what you made me do? This is all your fault”
“Why can’t you see that I’m not Linda? She’s dead! Vicky yelled. And before the figure could answer
The door to the trapped door flung open. And two bodies tackled the masked figure onto the ground. While Ted wrestled the knife away Crystal removed the mask off the figure
Chapter 12
Crystal, Bo! Vicky shirked before kneeling down beside him
“Is going to be fine, here hold this against his wound” Crystal answered her. Before she handed her a ripped piece from her costume
“You followed them that night didn’t you? Crystal asked Kelly, who was crawled up into a ball rocking back and forth
“Of course! I had to the calls weren’t working and David would’ve convinced her to go back with him” Kelly giggled
“What happened next? Ted added. Kelly gave him a dirty look and continued
“They didn’t even notice that I was in the house. So I made some noise hoping they’d think that a burglar broke in”
“Then I hid and waited for David to come downstairs”
“And you killed him?” Ted frowned. Kelly’s expression grew dark
“Before I hid I grabbed a knife from the kitchen. And snuck up to Linda’s bedroom through one of the secret passageways”
“She was too busy changing her cloths. She never knew what hit her”
“Then what did you do? Crystal asked
“After I got rid of her I went downstairs to tell David. That we’re finally free to be together. But he did a fatal mistake and rejected me!

Vicky’s eyes widen with fear when Kelly suddenly jumped to her feet. Ted stepped in front her Kelly who just gave him a confused look then sat back down
“Any way after I dumped David’s car into the water, I hid his body inside the---
“Grave yard” Crystal finished for her
“That’s right! Kelly cried out happily
“When we couldn’t find you guys, we made sure the fire was out, called the cops.” We were about to leave when Ted noticed the passageway which led us here” Crystal explained. Vicky was about to ask a question when two police officer walked out of the bushes
“Are you going to take me away now? Kelly asked in a child tone of voice. They all exchanged nervous glances
“Its okay miss, we’re going to take you to a safe place. Are you ready to go? One of the officers gently answered her
Chapter 14
Kelly sprang up so fast that no one had time to stop her. From attacking Vicky, slamming her to the ground. Vicky felt the cracked of the stone slam against her skull. She didn’t understand what just happened
One minute she was being attacked by Kelly, the next she was being helped to her feet by her cousin
“Are you okay? Crystal asked her with a worried look on her face
“Yah I think so” Vicky mumbled. She could see Kelly still fighting with the police
“Why did you come back Linda? Kelly shouted. “He was mines! Not yours! You should’ve stayed dead!
Her mad shrieks faded into the night. Vicky pulled herself away from Crystal
As Bo was being lifted on to the stretcher
“Please be careful with him where are you taking him? Vicky asked
“To Memorial Hospital” a man answered before walking off
“I wonder where Crystal, disappeared to? Vicky thought to herself. She suddenly felt an arm go around her shoulder
“Looking for me? Crystal smiled. “He’s going to be okay they--. Crystal didn’t continued noticing the Vicky suddenly broke down crying
“Hey, hey come on now things are going to be perfect now. You’ll see”
“And besides you can’t fall apart we still have to go to the hospital. And on the way there I can’t wait to hear what you’ve planned for next year’s Halloween! Crystal laughed
