Riches of my heart

poem by: Andy Wilden
Written on Dec 17, 2014

You to me are more precious than anything gold,
your eyes sparkle like diamonds that glitter the sky.
There is nothing on earth, I'd rather love and to hold,
I want to be there beside you as years go by.

I think of you fondly wanting you near,
holding you tightly and close to my heart.
With you I know I have nothing to fear,
you've been there always, never apart.

I love you so completely and sincerely my love,
the love you return, ignites me with fire.
Your love is like an angel, that descends from above,
how could I want any more? It's you I desire.

I want you, I need you, with all of my heart,
now and for always and abiding so true.
This love that we have is only the start,
with all that I am, I'll love only you.

Roxanne Dubarry commented:
You have uncovered the age old secret to love! You have faithfully given your love to her! It has been two years since you wrote this poem. Are you still in love with her today? You write very creative and beautiful poetry!
Andy Wilden commented:
Thank you so very much for your words Roxanne. Sadly that love was not to be, but hopefully will be found beckoning in another window.
