So you want to change the world

So you want to change the world

So you want to change the world
This is what I hear you say
As you gossip on the corners
I see you every day
Destroying reputations
With the venom in your words
Rousing ugly feelings
Getting others stirred.

So you want to change the world
Making it a better place
As you raise your noses in the aair
With disdain upon your face
For those you think you’re better than
Who be the same as you
Before you try to change the world
Just take a look at you.

So you want to change the world
Though these labels you all wear
You preach all your religions
Without you nary a care
For those who have their own beliefs
So many wars are fought
Though all those truth that you espouse
Be just stuff you’ve been taught.
