I'm missing something

poem by: Freesa Khan
Written on Apr 29, 2014

Looking in the mirror trying to correct my imperfection,
hoping to find the missing piece in my own reflection.
After trying to fix all that I felt might be wrong,
hoping to fight the weakness and finally seem strong.

An emptiness of sorts still fills deep within my soul,
like a full glass of water with a tiny unseen hole.
Why do I feel like something is missing inside,
a plain and honest truth I clearly can not hide.

You've stolen my heart and left me in a daze,
full of sleepless nights and a stalking craze.
To have you with me might make it all worthwhile,
to finally reach you I would walk a thousand miles.

Sometimes when we really love something we have to let it go.It hurts to lose. But gain comes when we're willing to accept the loss, and move on.

An emotional write on feeling lost when that special someone is missing. It takes something from us causing a feeling of incompleteness. Well written and many can relate to the words and feelings. Janet
