"Lying on the grass, after another game of football, those are the days I just love to recall. Cotton wool clouds, drift across a warm blue sky, Ah, I'm a teenager again...so vivid in my minds eye. One of my mates nips across to old Linfords farm, comes back with big Jaffa oranges, two or three on each arm, we all sat there just talking, the way young lads seem to do, having played a game of footy, for an hour, maybe two. No cares in the world, life is just good, clean fun, as we lay there all chatting, in the warm summer sun. None of lifes problems, ever got in our way, as long as we had a football...for hours we'd play. That time was so peaceful, lying sprawled out on the aromatic grass, it's only now as an old man.....that I realise, how time quickly does pass. I'd love to "go back" for one last game of football...say hi to the lads, and shake hands with them all."
