Statue

You know that I got feelings
and if you cut me I will bleed
when I get hungry
 I need to be feed

I am just like you
In every sense of the way
I want the best out of life
And I search for it every day

sometimes I will cry
And I will shed some lonely tears
and I don’t really like the darkness
because it gives me nightmares

So please don’t hurt me
and be careful what you do
because I’m not made of stone
and I am not a statue

If you do like me, please
please Just let me know
And if you don’t need me
then please Just let me go

because I’m only human
How much hurt can I take
Are you going to push me?
Until my spirits break

You once said that I'm a hottie
And a hottie shouldn’t be alone
Then you led me to your heart
and then you were gone

So please don’t hurt me
Think about what you do
Because I’m not made of stone
And I am not a statue

You once said that you love me
deep in your heart within
But maybe you’re a shame of me
Or the color of my skin

But love isn't prejudice
Its people who are
love is not judgmental
and love don’t see a color

we don’t choose how to be born
we have to accept how we are
and when the one we love hurt us
it cuts deep and leaves a scar

So please don’t hurt me
cause I would never hurt you
because you not made of stone
And you are not a statue

so please be careful what you do
because I’m just like you
I am not made of stone
and I’m not a statue

Try not to mix your feelings with race/colour issues. Easier said than done, I know. It used to be an issue for me too once.
