Things you have taught me

poem by: Ana Zolkina
Written on Dec 25, 2017

You taught me how to love the rain,
The fury blasts of wind,
The Northern sky, so dark and grey,
And your sarcastic grin.

You taught me how to say goodbye
And always ask for more.
You've never blamed me for the lie
And never kept the score.

We were the loosers of the life
In our motherland.
And why? Because of our love,
For which we have to stand.

I'll go to hell if that is the sin,
However in this world
No man could be the same for me
As you have been, my girl.

Is there a struggle in the relationship? Tug of War? I like how the strength of the relationship has allowed you to rise above the trouble in your homeland. Write on
