But all they see is a smile

Darkness surrounds me
I can't see a thing
I hold the key to my cage
But I can't seem to remember how to use it
Grief drowns me
In body and in mind
My eyes look for help
An attempt to shout
But no sound escapes me
There are people everywhere
They don't see me getting choked
I writhe, I suffocate
But all they see is a smile
They look at me for a while
And they they go their ways
If somebody was looking
They would see me sitting
Eyes wide open
Mouth gently breathing
Immersed in thoughts
Or is it water ?
Somebody drowns
But all they see is a smile
