The average day

poem by: Nemo Nemees

The window
the chair
the scary man
screaming in your ear
the eyes
of the siblings
who watch you
mock you
judge you
the past
that shapes
the now
the curse words
the self hate
that lead to
self distruction
the meds
that you take
to focus
to get some work done
The walgreens
that never has
those meds
so in your head
you tell yourself
foucus
goddamn
you are a fail
to society
The quiet
of the office
where you ditch your classes
the chromebook
that you write your mind
the teachers who treat you
like a child
the bean bag
that you spend
your life in
the tv
that's reruns
family guy
as you play
the geometry game
and convince yourself its math.
the texts you send
to the guy you love
and convince yourself
one day
you wont be in this home
you wont be in this place
that holds too much memories
the bed that you sleep in
just to wake up
and start completely over again
