Angels

poem by: Allan P Stevens
Written on Nov 24, 2017

-
Do angels cry watching our human race
Do they gently weep at the things we do
Do they forgive the mistakes we have made
Do they pray for people such as me and you
-
I have never seen an angel in real life
But, I am quite sure they really do exist
I’ve dreamed about them many, many times
How would it feel to receive an angel’s kiss?
-
Angels must be everywhere in this life
Good deeds happen daily everywhere
Most people are too busy chasing time
To realise how much unseen angels care
-
If I could speak with an angel face to face
I’d ask why they choose to watch over us
None are so challenging as the human race
Still I wonder, are we really worth their love
