People

poem by: Allan P Stevens
Written on Nov 16, 2017

-
Some people are like passing clouds
Drifting by on a summer breeze
Some are quiet, some are loud
While some are just happy to please
-
Some people only live for the action
Others prefer laid back and cool
Many will tease to force a reaction
But, I am quite content to play the fool
-
It takes all sorts to make up this world
From every creed, colour or race
It don’t matter if you’re a boy or girl
Be sure to wear a smile on your face
-
Nasty people spread propaganda and lies
Trying control the way that we think
Don’t get taken in, keep yourself wise
For most of them are truly quite sick
-
I like to believe in the goodness of people
Always ready to assist our fellow man
But, beware of the few who are evil
Stand up to them every way you can
