Why me?

poem by: Freesa Khan
Written on Feb 01, 2014

What seemed like the beginning of a lovely connection,
stirred my emotions, played with my affection.
I thought I was floating on a magical cloud,
I pictured a bond where the both of us vowed.

You showed me my beauty, which I couldn't see,
A side of myself that helped me be me.
I continually lived thinking we would become one,
And when we're together my life then begun.

What felt like a future I always wanted,
was thrown in my face as I got taunted.
You found someone better, and felt you'd improved,
You left me behind and forward you moved.

So what you expect I still don't really get,
Asking me to praise her because now your life is set.

"Why me?" is a reaction to life being cruel....simply move on ...because he was the fool...
