Me Too

poem by: Haley Banks
Written on Nov 06, 2017

In corners we cry
In love we withdraw
In whispers we tell
In public we pretend

But

In our scars we bond
In pain we unite
In tragedy we stand
In solidarity we scream

And from here on out

We refuse to go away
We push forward
We realize our worth
We rise above

Above Those

who harmed us
who told us to move on
who claimed it was our fault
who ignore the issue

Because

we are beautiful
We are strong
We are resilient
And we will not be stopped
