Lost The Way

poem by: Julius Brian Cruz
Written on Sep 28, 2017

I lost the way again, in this little world of mine.
Staring at a black sky, with head on pillows for a while.
Shortly daydreaming, forgetting my troublesome days.
The endless haunting thoughts, the worries I never convey.

Yet somehow I think, it’s better this way.
Cause it’s only at this moment, I think of you the most.
Drawing a faint picture, of you in my thoughts.
Hinting a sincere smile, this world has never caught.

They say time has a way, of letting you forget things.
But I’m a fool I guess, sitting here everyday waiting.
I can never seem to fly, despite how hard it is I long for you.
I want to hold you in my arms, and say the words “I miss you!”.

Maybe I really lost the way, lost my way to you.
Gazing at a black sky, not knowing what to do.
All I could do is wait..... wait...... and wait for you........
Till we meet again, I’ll save the words “ I Love You”......
