The gravity of stars by Jude kyrie

Are you leaving me once more?
Whispered conversations are
falling down a spiral staircase.
ike silent secrets as they fall.

I can hear them in the darkness.
Yet I don’t.
The same way that voices are lost
In the climax of lovemaking.

The same way the sky disappears
when night stars ignite.
The same way stars disappear
when daybreak calls.

I listen intently to your footfall.
Walking away with only echoes remaining.
And inside my chest only
the sounds that a heart makes
when it is breaking.

So I return to the room in my heart
that is my safe haven.
And contemplate the dangers
I see in your eyes.
And the gravity of stars.
