NOT ANYMORE...

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Sep 18, 2017

"I used to want to live forever,
right now, I'm not so sure,
to live until the twelfth of never,
but life now seems a chore.
Society is rapidly breaking down,
mindless thugs now control the street,
many people wear a constant frown,
we need more police, back on the beat.
I see our world in deprivation,
with the horrors of endless war,
pain, and suffering, of many a nation,
No,..I don't want to live forever anymore."

The Horrors are true and getting worse As you demonstrate through your verse I love this poem, even it's sadness Because you're right: we've lost this world to madness.

I'm sure many many people can relate. We can only take one day at a time and do our best, hoping that things turn around someday. Great poem, thanks for sharing!
