Residual riddle

poem by: Robert Kohlhammer
Written on Aug 09, 2017

Cannabis put a hole in my polo neck sweater
The soulful stepping in a prophylactic puddle
as it evolves exhausting the licorish lozenge
a crumpled up carborhydrate cave gorging
tarnishing the risla tapers torn off shopping

Singers analysing the calling out
for cutting out cardboard splices
made knocked up kerbstone doors
fibres of forests and soupy gulleys

Shivering in the twilit endorphins
at the hypnotically cellular daze
hawk eyed ashen hot rocking rolling
like an elevator escalating freight

At a mate who like a stoic bifter
as a munch hole was a skeletal face of a cliff
higher than a metal board and rod of scaffolding
down the road from a renovated house , where I had once lived.
