Mirror Monsters

What do you do when it's out of your control?
Moments pass with a haunted soul
Echoes of voices taunting your head
Visions pass of pointing fingers, laughter, and words said
Tell yourself it's only the mirror
Wipe the tears but it only makes your sight clearer
Focus harder to clear your head
Try to tell yourself you're beautiful instead
Doesn't work can't tell you why
Minds too trained to believe that lie
The moment passes as they always do
put on a mask, see I'm normal too
Tell your self, it's all alright
just have to make it to the nighttime light
Try to remember just not to look
otherwise the mosters will remind you
of all they took.
