Magpie

poem by: Martyn Grindrod

Magpie

Click Clack Chatterer
Scavenger , Vagabond
Rooftop watcher
Silvershine theft , Abscond

Feathered Artful dodger
Eagle eyed espy
Iridescent plumage
Cunning and Sly

One for sorrow ,Two for joy
Magpies birds of high skill
In and out of roadside hedgerows
Swooping down for dinner, roadkill
