Repetition

Self worth was something to which she hadn't the pleasure to meet,
She remembered it breifly where she once saw it down by her feet,
Why it choose to be so elusive to her was a mystery,
But everytime her heart let someone in self worth's presence was history,
Each word of truth uttered from her mouth,
Gave a piece of her away to be later crushed by self doubt,
Choosing to stay connected to those who didn't care,
Because of their feelings, to which she was far too aware,
The thin and beautiful surface of her soul,
Ridged now from unrequited loves unrelenting goal,
Empty arms, empty hands, empty bed,
Too many unhappy thoughts filling her kind head,
Is there a point to the endless do over,
Each repetition leaving her heart even sorer,
Until she feels she won't be able for it to play out once more,
But,
She stops.
She sits.
She breaths.
She begins again.

Robert Kohlhammer commented:
Very emotive, allowing the feelings of the poem to be emphasised as one reads through it.
E.H. Power commented:
Thank you for your kind words.
