Red Blood Brothers....

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on May 23, 2017

"I have a serious problem,
with my young grandsons, Charlie, and Joe,
how am I going to solve it?
I really do not know.
When they come to visit me,
I want to bang their heads,
because I'm a true blue Evertonian,
and they support the Reds!
I'm taunted with their Liverpool shirts,
they know how to wind me up!
I don't think they will ever let me forget,
when they won that bloody cup!
Ah, but still I love them dearly,
even though they're Liverpool through, and through,
because it really is only friendly banter,
and I'm so proud to be a BLUE!"

This poem was written when they were both small kids......now they are both over six foot tall .....looking down on me!.......and yes they still wind me up!
