But God I thought I was shattered I thought my life was over I thought I had no meaning I thought I should cover my pain I thought alcohol fixed it I thought sex was just a thing I thought the rape had ruined me I thought the lies would pass I thought the world was dark I thought that hope was lost I thought my future was dark I thought I was useless I thought I was ugly I thought I was dead But God He showed me His love He showed me His hope He showed me His power He showed me His grace He showed me I'm not done He showed me I have His work to do He showed me beauty He showed me I am loved He showed me I am His He showed me life But God He showed up
