My Prayer

I feel the tears running down my face
As I sit here in this lonely place.
I think about you, wishing you were here.
To wipe away my falling tear.
I quietly went down upon my knee.
To pray, and ask the Lord to be with me.
As I take the journey back home.
Lord, please do not leave me to be alone.
send a guarding angel to guide us safely
with miracles of goodness and mercy. 
guide my spirit, that needs to be free.
Let your love be always with me.
I believe the word and testimony of you.
that these are the wonderful things you do. 
Sublime deeds lived on for all time,
heal the lame and give sight to the blind. 
you give us beautiful things betwixt pain, 
talent and skill and plenty remain,
waiting until our arms are full 
With the blessed hopes fulfill
