Me, Myself, and A Method to Madness

poem by: Allison Green
Written on May 05, 2017

My life is organized chaos;
There's a method to my madness.
I sort the misery with loss,
And the hopelessness with sadness.

You can try to fix the mess,
Put my life in a filing drawer.
I really couldn't care any less.
I really can't care anymore.

I know my system works.
I am messy, but then again
I know that if a feeling lurks
It's harder to find and heal them.

So though my life is everywhere,
It's all out in the open.
I'm not able to hide anywhere.
There's lots of room to cope in.

So love me, or judge me, or look away.
And I'll keep my soul free
Because I still have a lot to say.
And I'll just keep being me.

Geoffrey Brewer commented:
Well at least your poem is well organised and makes good sense. So your mind cannot be that chaotic
Robert Kohlhammer commented:
