Think!.....

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on May 04, 2017

"Before you squeeze that trigger,....Stop! Think twice!
before you maim, and disfigure, no! It's not worth the price.
To snuff out a life, hiding behind a cowards hood,
living with murderers hands, cursed with a dead mans blood.
Think! is it really worth spending many years behind bars?
you've only one life on this earth,
can you honestly deal with the mental scars?
Imagine, you're alone in your cell, with a memory you just can't forget,
one second of pure hell.......is now a lifetime of regret."

Wise words Frank and I hope that someone who is planning a deadly crime gets to read your poem and takes heed, you nailed it with the last line...brilliant.

Holy crap Frank. This is good. Crimes of passion are always left in regret. Best to stay cool and let karma sort out the rest ;)
