Without

Without

Without a whisper you said goodbye
Without a movement I felt you die.
Without a thought my tears began
And without struggle down my cheeks they ran.

Without life and without breath
Without reason you had gone to death.
Without your guidance in life to cope
I'm without reason and without hope.

Without direction to show me the way ahead
Without my mums love filled my future with dread.
Without insight to what now lies beyond
Without my mother's love that once belonged.
