Into the Black

poem by: Theresa Taylor
Written on Apr 16, 2017

The black space behind my eyelids holds me
in a safe masculine embrace
As I pixilate and disappear
I am free, warm, and safe
At last a peace beyond heaven
At last a flight without wings
My heart is excited and fluttering
lighter than a feather
I disappear
into deeper consciousness
into acceptance
into nothing
