Storm after the calm

The war is over, my love, I'll be back soon
Don't be happy, beware, I'm not the same
Nights will be darker, because I, I'm a black moon
I kill first, inquire later, it's just a game

We won't sleep; I'll have nightmares, ghosts! Ghosts! Ghosts!
You're my wife, my life, and I'll hate you
There are no jobs, no green pasture, it’s just goats! Goats! Goats!
So I dreamt, I was starving, and I ate you

We, who are brave, need not heed
Be quiet, speak not, unless spoken to
Your desires, your longings, for them you’ll plead
Deny you, I shall, and you’ll end up broken too

Be patient, my love, like a baobab tree
Shed your leaves, look ugly, and survive for a while
In time, I’ll reform, I’ll be me
Until then, rest assured, I’m what defines vile

Hard justice, no love , I'm cold steel
But I’m a hero, a patriot, you'll understand
So my love, I'm coming, and I know how you feel
I couldn’t care less; I just protected the mother land.
