Forever there after

poem by: Robert Kohlhammer
Written on Mar 24, 2017

What happens when we die?
It is common to fear the unknown
To distance my thoughts so I try
Neither text message nor telephone

To myself can I not lie
but to those I say hello
I fear when to say goodbye
All I possess I must disown

When you arrived
Had you not remained
You are of soul inside
No different but the same

Of course life is where we are
With feelings and pain to experience
but without time that makes us tire
we would never be aware of the being of our existence.
