Memory Lane..

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Mar 22, 2017

"Do you remember the days when we were all small?
Life was all fun, and games, isn't it so lovely to recall?
Innocent games like, "off ground tick," and "kick the can,"
also "postmans knock," remember how fast we all ran.
Yummy sweets like "arrow bars," and "ha'penny chicks,"
do you remember sherbet lemons, Mmm, and liquorice sticks?
Remember catch the girl, kiss the girl? Wasn't it a laugh looking back?
You would give her a quick kiss, then ouch! Get a quick smack!
So just remember all the good laughs, don't ever recall the pain,
believe me, you will feel so much better, when you take a walk down Memory Lane."
