Human

poem by: Keith Sibanda
Written on Jan 03, 2014

Send my neutral soul to heaven
and i would instantly transform into one
of the winged heavenly creatures of pure blood, mind and soul.
Then, then let it free fall from heaven into the
deepest maggot infested pits of hades.
i would become a blood thirsty and deleterious daemon.
But if you elevate me to the right position.
Not too low that i can feel the infernos of hell gnawing at my feet,
and not too high that i can hear the ever enchanting heavenly music.
If you have finally found the right position.
I would as you might have expected be completely HUMAN!
Midway between heaven and hell.
Armed to the teeth with the free will
to choose whether to be good or evil.
