I will

poem by: Theresa Taylor
Written on Mar 19, 2017

I will search and search
I will wait and ponder
until I find the cracks in your walls
I will not knock sweetly
I will bang with my fists
even if I am already 6 feet under
I will dig far deeper
I will be the army that breaks your Fortress of Fear
Once I am in I will defrost your heart
Giving it all of the fire I have inside of me
I will awaken your soul
I will be the antibody to this disease you call "a history"
I will plant seeds until your heart is veiled blooms
