Forever Autumn...

poem by: Frank Hornby .
Written on Feb 26, 2017

"I keep the memory of you, and me, deep down, deep inside,
each time I think of you my mum, I'm filled with love, and pride.
You had no choice, you had to go,...now, and then I shed tear.
A piece of my heart is missing, because mum, you're just not here,
having missed so much of my life, now only a memory inside your son,
sadly it's felt like forever autumn, all the years that you've been gone.
The grandchildren do not know you, just photographs keep you near,
this feeling of forever autumn, because mum.....You're just not here."
