Winters waves

Beams of light caress my face.
Thick fog escapes, i release a deep breath.
Its cold around me, yet warm in this place.
Hurt but not broken, weak yet strong
I can feel the strength you gave me
Even after your gone

Water flows freely down my face
Salty tears freeze my cheek
It's cold around me, yet warm in this place
Alive but not living, awake yet asleep
I can feel the calm you sent me
A treasure i will keep.

Its colder now and i sit blank face
I stare into, as you tell me ur story
Its cold around me yet warm in this place
Heard but did not listen, here but gone
I can feel the love u taught me
A warm embrace from dusk to dawn.

I see your face
As u crash upon the snow covered banks
I hear your whispers and feel ur love
I embrace your strength.
Your tears have become mine
I understand these gifts u sent me
It is here forever, in my happy place
My promise to always listen,
through the crashing cold of winters waves.
